Rufus, Rufus, Rufus!

I went to see Rufus Wainwright last weekend. Yes, Rufus Wainwright. The legend. I couldn’t find anyone to go with, and didn’t want to spend more money to drag the boyfriend to a concert he’s not going to enjoy! I decided to put on my gorgeous 40s dress for my date with Rufus. Boyfriend was nice enough to come with me for pre-show dinner at the beautiful Opera Kitchen, which always reminds me of how beautiful Sydney harbour is. I was too shy to pose for an outfit post properly, but I wasn’t shy to pose next to a Rufus display!
My 40s dress is sheer and I had a slip underneath - the slip was shorter and if anyone tried hard they could still see my legs. It made me feel so beautiful and classy with the midi length, and I actually gifted myself a glass of Chardonnay for dressing up on this date. I also bumped into one of my vintage dealers - great minds think alike! My favorite thing about the dress will have to be the lace bib details, contrasting mint green with dark creme. So I guess I did succumb to the pastel trend after all!
This dress is so beautiful I might wear it again soon. Blogger faux pas?
