Added (2018):I added this video I made - it has different styles and will be handy for the more video tutorial-inclined people :)
I know this post probably isn’t very original and a lot of people have done it, but I thought it would be quite fun and actually, it was pretty stressful to get the photographs right. I find that tying a headscarf is the best way to hide a bad hair day, or weeks if your pixie cut starts getting a bit long :p I also find that it’s a nice way to accessorize a simple t-shirt and jeans. Today I’m wearing my Arctic Monkeys concert t-shirt.
This is my first of three ways to tie a headscarf.
I call this one “Spring Cleaning”

Fold the scarf in half and roll it inward, making sure that you tuck it in neatly.

Easy! Do a quick tie on the top of your head

Tighten it with a knot

Tuck in the sides underneath

Voila: my spring cleaning look!
My second look is even simpler: the rockabilly

Same as above, fold it in half and roll inward.

But instead, I tie it onto the side, where my hair parts.

Do a bow and gosh can it be any easier?

My third is The Turban. To do this you need a scarf that is quite wide, enough to cover the back of your head obviously.

Place the scarf over your head, twisting the two sides over the front to tighten around your head and securing it with a knot

Now more twisting, but towards the back. While you do the other side, you can tuck it in temporarily

Once you goth both side twisted resembling the ruche sides of turbans, tie the two ends together and tuck it securely underneath. Classic 80s look!
